Happy birthday to me. Hahahahahaha. Nothing much today and no special feelings because I don't know, it's just growing old I guess.

Had a talk during Assembly specially for girls and it was about protecting ourselves and stuff. And I have to agree that being in school is really being protected and more often than not, we're not too vigilant and sensitive about what's happening around us because we know that "it's okay" in school. Like, nothing big or bad is going to happen. But that isn't my point because I think with the exposure to everything with the improvement of technology, I guess women know how to protect themselves because of all the awareness being raised and I'm sure we know pretty well when or when not to kick a guy's groin or blind him with pepper spray.

But what shocked/disgusted me was the rape culture issue which is just so fucking screwed up and disgusting. The first news that was shared was about a girl who was raped by this security guard and the hostel she was living in in her university (overseas) and because she was drunk, she couldn't prove that the guy sexually assaulted her without her consent so he was dismissed of the crime. Yes, she shouldn't be alone and drunk and everything but please tell me why must there be this expectation that women must be accompanied by more women or friends just because she's going to drink or club or shit because "it is not safe to be alone at such a place". The whole purpose of going to drink is to be happy or get wasted or drown sorrows or just relax and chill, yet we have to worry about getting molested and raped and robbed??? Really? Just because we're drunk and unconscious, or even when we're not, we have to be so wary about our surroundings in case a guy pounces on us? Seriously, why not drill it into guys' heads that it is NEVER okay - no matter how sober or how drunk or how attractive the girl is or how fucking horny you are - to ever touch a girl.

So what if the girl is wearing a bikini or a dress or a short skirt or her pajamas or her school uniform or even NAKED who gave you the rights to touch her. Just because you lust about her doesn't mean you have to touch her. That's just what's wrong with humans, or men in this case, because what they desire they have to get, even when it doesn't or will never belong to them. And then they forcefully make it theirs which is just stupid. OH GOSH CAN YOU GUYS STOP BEING SO DESPERATE AND BE DECENT AND GET A GIRL THE RIGHT WAY.

I agree that some girls are inviting unnecessary and unhealthy attention because our body is private and it shouldn't be exposed to just anyone 'cause if it was why doesn't everyone just walk naked in the streets? It's the respect that we should give ourselves to keep ourselves protected and not get tainted by dirty hands and thoughts. But still, no one "deserved getting raped" because one does not simply take away this self-respect from anyone. They were just there at the wrong time and wrong place and just happened to meet someone so evil and disgusting but they never ever had it coming.

Women should never be treated as sexual objects. Guys, we are living in the 21st century. Can we please move on from a patriarchal society with all that rank and shit and realise that we are all created as equals? Yes, God created man first and then the woman, but that doesn't mean He loves the man more than the woman. It's about time people stop objectifying women, stop oppressing them, stop raping them, stop abusing them because we weren't created for this purpose. And we definitely were not created to satisfy the sexual desires of men. I am sorry to burst your bubble but if you can't control whatever is in your pants then you shouldn't even have one.

As such, watching porn is not okay and stop saying "it's normal for guys to watch porn" because no it isn't. It isn't normal to watch stupid women prancing around naked on your screen in the privacy of your room because that woman's body isn't for YOU to look at. And imagine that woman to be the woman you love and you don't want any other guy to look at her like that, do you?

Okay rant over. I was so angry. AND WE HAVE TO STAND UP FOR WHAT'S RIGHT. Stop being cowardly dickheads and watch people get groped and molested in public. I'm watching you, all those people who just watched on. Seriously, so what if you take a video or pictures and the upload it and then condemn those men. The job has already been done and the woman will be forever scarred. How do your stupid videos and photos help in any fucking way?

Bye.
