"And even when you frustrate me, I still want you by my side."

"Find who you're supposed to be."

Just came back from the chinese doctor after getting my finger checked out since it's been more than a week but it's still not healing and probably getting worse. It was one of the most traumatising experience ever, especially when I specifically told her I cannot bend my finger yet she went ahead to attempt to anyway. Oh my in that moment I honestly thought I could die. Then after that was heating the finger with heat for deep penetration like WHY OH WHY. And now it's all wrapped up and definitely very restrictive ):

National Day Parade rehearsal with family the on on Saturday (: Haven't been to one in ages and it sure beats staying at home watching the live telecast (then my whole family would stand on the sofa or something to recite the pledge). I think it was super lovely to watch the whole parade and they really put a lot of thought and effort into making those filler videos here and there, and I think it truly represents Singapore (: Sure, Singapore isn't the best place to live in but we have really grown a lot and all these years living here, though it's only been 17 years, despite some issues here and there, it's been pretty peaceful. And that's really something to be grateful for. There are things we can change but it's probably going to take a while to make changes that we want to see. As of now, Singapore is a really great place.

On a sidenote, if you haven't watched this video yet:
The insensitivity of this woman really got my anger levels skyrocketing. Especially when she called her a "gook", which is a deragatory term for Asians (I googled). It's one thing to be racist and another to voice all these opinions out loud and hurt people's feelings. Well, thankfully, she's remorseful about her behaviour though I personally think having a lot of things going on in her life isn't an excuse for a racist outburst. But okay, at least she apologised. On my first trip to Australia when we went on a tour, we got called "fucking asians" by some people. Thinking back I was really angry but then now, I just think that these people just proved themselves to be uncivilised and very stupid.

Just praying very hard that one day I'll have the strength to stop thinking so lowly of myself and regard myself with better worth because that's the only thing I can do to help myself. And it matters so so so much to me.

Can't wait for tomorrow

xoxo,
